GAME DAY THREAD: 6/18- Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Braves

Outside of bad luck his biggest issue was rolling over everything and weakly grounding out. Then popping up if he went the other way. I think there was something off. Timing/injury that was making him late to his spot. He is looking more like we were hoping and that bodes well.

We crushed the Rockies with a pedestrian Acuna and that should scare the crap out of the league.

For what this type of “analysis” is worth, he does look far more comfortable at the plate and isn’t swinging at as much trash. Think his timing was off

I don't know. Pretty sure he signed his contract and quit trying.

Or you know, he's just streaky like he's always been.

His rate stats are virtually the same as the previous 2 years aside from his power numbers. He's hitting far more ground balls than he has overall the last 2 years. It's likely just mechanical issues he's going through.

I wonder if Chipper sort of made him into a worse hitter. not everyone can be Chipper and Riley going the other way/up the middle sapped some of his power numbers. Just bar stool thoughts..
