Game Thread - Taking it in Stride

Remember how terrible we all felt after that horrible loss to the Tigers last Monday? Braves respond with a 7 game winning streak

Starts in 20 and no thread so I’m popping my cherry

Acuña Jr - RF

Riley - 3B
d’Arnaud - C

Ozuna - DH
Arcia - SS
Pillar- LF
Harris II - CF

Strider on the mound

Lost in all the excitement —another developmental star has emerged in our organization!!
MAD DOG is undefeated in intra-divisional rivalry road games….. and sports a cool 1.000 winning percentage. This is HUGE while our ace Slippy continues to work his way out of his slump…..

Can we talk about the fact that Eddie Rosario and Albies are now both in the top 25 NL OPS leaders. Man, it's fun to see hot Rosario again.

Hopefully the issue with Murphy will be resolved soon. Either needs to play or go to the IL. Dump the 3rd catcher and bring back an IF.

Sounds like we should know by Thursday on Murphy if he's ready or not.

It's also fortuitous, as Ozuna hasn't quite looked the same since getting drilled on his wrist last week. That could be something that lingers for awhile, so having Rosario as a quality contributor helps off-set that a bit.

Also, the crazy thing about Albies, is that he's actually doing all this with the lowest BABIP of his career. That suggests we could see an even better Albies the rest of the season if his luck on balls in play flips the other way.

How long til Hilliard gets defensive sub duties over Rosario? This is getting ridiculous. Even when Duval wasn't hitting he still got the D sub treatment.

Agreed - but as posted above, we couldn’t take Rosario out- we had no choice (not that we have taken him out anyway)….

The sooner Ozuna gets right, the better !
(If our friend from Minnesota is correct, then Rosario is gonna fall off of a cliff any minute)
