I don't really care when the deal happens, but he can't start tonight under any circumstance if we were this close. Can't risk an injury, but also can't risk him likely getting blown up by the Dodgers.

Agreed. No possible higher trade return can be worth the downside risk of the Dodgers literally killing him.

I guess it's just the scratchers addiction in me, but I'd roll the dice and start him tonight. We most likely aren't getting anyone worth a crap at the moment, but a good start tonight could get us a decent prospect

LOL so one start is going to wildly swing his trade value?

The only direction his trade value can go in a single start is down if he gets hurt. It isn't going up.

I think 2 good starts in a row vs playoff teams could land us multiple top 100s. Ok, not that, but yeah, I think it would improve his stock

Yeah, you're probably right. Teams will probably see Garcia pitch 2 good games in a row, something he has already done several times in his career, and suddenly think he is a better option moving forward.

They will ignore all previous data, weigh those 2 starts more heavily in their evaluations than all other innings he has ever pitched, and increase their trade offers.

Bring on Los Dodgers!!

I think I-Me will go 7 no-hit innings before giving up a bloop single and then a double to break up the shut out. Braves win 7-2..

And if a good outing helped getting a better prospect, what are the odds of that happening? Most likely 4 or five innings of trash
