Garcia being traded to Yanks

Lol.... I wish there was still some July left. Has any guy ever got 3 wins with 3 different teams in one month? :happy0157:

Or even a two week span like he could...

Too funny - good call by them to turn right around and flip him once they started falling further back

At first I was mad we got less

Then I thought about it. Backend starter who needs the be on the 40 man next yr. I'm not sure that is right for us. Braves have consistently avoided that type of guy outside of jj trade. They are going for risky assets.

So unless you think Yankees guys are going to start next yr to protect us from overpriced vets and losing a yr on 20 yo started...I like our return

I agree with this completely. The Twins got better value out of Garcia due to Littel being far less of a risk, but we're not really in a position where we need to be risk-averse with prospects. Our pitching depth should allow for us to at least find some backend starters in the mold of Littel, so why not go for the youngster with a good breaking ball and a mid-90s fastball?
