Gattis Traded To Astros (pg. 13)

Kind of interesting to me that the Astros would be interested in Gattis. But looking at their roster, Altuve at the top, they added Jed Lowrie, and a couple of young and coming players in George Springer and Jon Singleton. That is the makings of a rather good lineup in Houston. And like I said earlier, Gattis in that ballpark.......................

That makes sense. This is the first time I've heard of a player taking a physical with another team before any possible deal. Seems to me something may happen before the day is out. Who knows.

The one thing I can tell you is no GM or Club is going to let another team do a physical on their own player w/o a deal in place 1st

My guess is there is a concern over his health that they won't announce it.
 
I doubt BJ is in the deal...most likely a Gattis/possible filler peice or prospect for prospects.

But if BJ is in the deal at all.............SSSSSSSSSSWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure that's where he ends up but you never know what the Braves are thinking. Signing Moncada would essentially make all Braves fans happy and could generate some buzz for the upcoming season. I would say ththat if Beej is in this deal that's it's a precursor to going big on Moncada.

Me likey. Definitely fits the mold of what the team is trying to achieve better than Fowler, who would be a nice addition, but not at $9MM.
