GDP 4/21: Braves vs Phillies

This one game has assured the Braves have Adonis and his .310 OBP in the 2 hole for the rest of the first half.

In three of our last four (all losses), we've had the tying run in scoring position in with two outs in the ninth. It would seem we're overdue.

i've noticed we are good at making it interesting

now, we just have to win those interesting games and turn them into wins

.285/.318/.425 (.743 OPS)

Average #2 hitter in MLB in 2016 had a .333 OBP.

So no, he did not do well in the #2 hole last year.

600 PAs with an OBP of .333 = getting on base approx 200 times

600 PAs with an OBP of .318 = getting on base approx 191 times

191 is 95.5% of 200. That's pretty much the average 2-hole hitter.

How'd he match up in avg and ops?

Padres now 8-10 after beating marlins. Throw out the atlanta series and the padres are 8-6.

And the Braves were close to .500 for the first half of the 2015 season and wound up with the third worst record in baseball, their record means exactly squat right now. The Padres have a terrible team, they are 25th in ERA and 26th in runs scored. And they don't have much talent at all. Winning a few close games at home doesn't change that.

So you're saying they don't have the worst record, worst era, or worst run production, but they're the worst? Look in no way do I think the padres are some good team; but if you call them the worst team, it's strictly on what you think they're gonna do, not what they've done. I think in the end, they'll be the worst, but they haven't been so far

When did I say they were the worst team? I just said they have a terrible team. They'll most likely have a bottom 5 team, and have a good chance at the worst record, but who the worst team will be is a crapshoot.

And if you think they'll be the worst team by the end of the season, what on earth are you even arguing about?
