GDT 03/08/16- Mets at Braves - 1:05 PM

Double by Mallex. We gotta find a spot for him. When we traded for Inciarte we should have moved Olivera back to third.

He lost his helmet between 1st and 2nd (thus proving how much he hustles), AND slid headfirst into 3rd even though there was no throw (thus proving how much grit he possesses)! What more could you want in a player??

Reminds me a bit of Pete Rose. Why make something look easy when you can make it look difficult.

This is not a knock on Swanson at all, but I think Albies is a better hitter right now, age difference notwithstanding. Swanson's eye and pop and other skills may eclipse him in time, but I'd have a hard time ranking DS ahead of Albies right now. Scary, in that Oz is still a teenager.

Amazing to me how sometimes you like finding a negative out of something so positive. You are truly one of the Legion of the Miserable.

Albies does have two spring trainings under his belt and this is Swanson's first so it only stands to reason that Albies is a bit more advanced at this point. Nice to have them both.

Swanson might be feeling a lot more pressure than Albies too. I wouldn't be shocked to see him press and struggle a little bit early on this year, while Albies is relaxed and just doing his thing.

The situation will likely be different after Dansby has a pro season under his belt, and, like I said, the last thing I want to do is be running him down at someone else's expense, but I think that conventional wisdom has Swanson "ahead," but I'd be surprised if it weren't the other way around at this point.

I don't consider that running Swanson down anyway. I love, love, love, love, love Albies. That guy has the chance to be a phenomenal hitter. I have no idea if he's ahead of Swanson or not, but even if he is, it's not a knock on Swanson.
