GDT: 04/07 Braves vs Padres

Fk all yall hating on Ozzie. I'm in his his corner til he ain't a Brave. Smdh. He's the least of my worries and if we have a Chop Country meet up..you can tell me different.

His back foot is literally on the edge of the plate.

My 9 year old son was watching that at bat with me… he’s played 2 years of organized youth baseball… unprompted he says “goodness Ozzie is standing way too close to the plate.”

My 9 year old sees it… someone needs to get in his ear

I love Ozzie man… but the dude needs to really adjust his approach. He looks completely lost and needs to stop trying to be a power hitter. This has been going on for a while… well before his injury

There were some talent evaluators that were concerned albies was not a finished product.,…

I’m just not sure what type of hitter we should expect moving forward. Guy should still ditch left handed hitting.

I love Ozzie but he swings at more junk outta the zone. His ABs Thursday were the worst on the team.

They have been for a while. As someone mentioned earlier, he was trash last season before the injury. Seems like he is completely lost and has no plan at the plate.

In other news, its 45 and raining in Smyrna....I'd rather they postpone the game today, this is the type of weather injuries are created.

I'm not that worried about Ozzie. His BB rate so far is well below his career norms but so is his K rate. So he's putting the ball in play. He's also been super unlucky. His expected stats are actually slightly better than his career norms.

Once Ozzie's luck normalizes he'll be fine.

That’s what I meant- Thursday he was making weak contact on balls outside the zone.

He basically gave up on 2 walks swinging at trash.

If he keeps that up- it won’t normalize like you think. He’s not making contact on stuff he can drive because they don’t have to throw him strikes

I’m personally worried. Last night’s loss was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. They didn’t play hard, pitching was bad and no one seemed to care. It makes me sick.

Jk! Great game tbh 😂

I've watched Ozzie since rookie ball. I shamelessly admit high bias, but the one thing he did at every level was make adjustments and he did it consistently. I AM concerned that he's settled into an in between type of hitter where he doesn't know his strengths anymore. At his best, he was line drive, gap to gap, occasional lift. That guy seems to be MIA.

Perhaps I'm just wanting the old Ozzie to show up so people will stop with the nonsense, but I guess that's up to him.

His career BABIP is .295. The last two years it's been in the .270s. Currently it's .207.

Ozzie's hard hit percentage is right in line with career norms.

His luck will even out.

If Ozzie wouldn't chase terrible pitches he'd be a dominant hitter. As he is, he's very good.
