You‘re fooling yourselves if you think Snitker is getting fired. I truly believe the club thinks he deserves the Bobby Cox treatment. Best case is him announcing the retirement in the next couple of months, then getting a farewell tour the rest of the season.

As I posted a few weeks ago: I truly hope a serious search for a successor is already underway behind the scenes. Please don’t just give it to Walt Weiss.
 
I think you'd have to go all the way back to the first Bobby Cox stint to find the last time we hired a manager who didn't have some previous tie to the organization. In other words, go ahead and expect it to be Weiss, Perez, DeRo, someone in that realm.

The Braves won't fire him. They also won't make a change mid-season. I could see him being "promoted" this off-season.
 
Yeah please no Weiss. I wouldn't mind Dero as much. But new blood outside the organization is needed bad. I feel like Snit has lost the clubhouse.
 
As far as the Snitker replacement, i think DeRosa would be a good candidate. You know Weiss and Perez will be talked to, though I’d hope neither are automatically the leading candidates. Also, with all the uncertainty surrounding the Rays, I’d see if Kevin Cash would be at least interested. Nobody knows the future of that franchise and I don’t know how much he’d want to be around all that.
 
Upon further review, I do not believe Snit was throwing the grounds crew under the bus. Bowman either misunderstood or is putting words in his mouth. Based on a couple things I’ve seen Bowman post on X tonight, it’s the latter I believe

I don't ever remember the beat writers throwing the coach under the bus like they have Snit this year.

Bowman's take on this is foolish. There are tough errors that are not the result of poor field conditions. Balls can take unpredictable bounces. I don't think Snitker was throwing anyone under the bus.

Bowman is the only guy out there trying to get snit fired. Everyone of us need to be reposting all his criticism. Put some pressure on this front office
