Snitker should be fired for that. That's the ultimate loser excuse. The other team didn't seem to have issues making the basic plays.
 
This comment by Snitker is absolutely indefensible. Ed Mangun and his crew have been among the best in baseball. Just a terrible comment. If I’m Ed, I’m having a conversation with the front office about that.

Don’t think Manny Machado has any issues this weekend.

Weird comment by Snit.

Ed Mangan is like one of the top grounds ctrew managers in all of American sports. MLB and Minor League orgs send their crews to learn and train with Ed in the offseason. NFL even uses him for super bowl and playoff games.
 
Yeah…he didn’t say shit about the ground crew. I don’t even think he insinuated it. At least, it’s certainly not a clear indictment like Bowman said.

Honestly, that comment is the most Bobby Cox I’ve ever heard Snitker. Taking up for his players when they’re sucking. At least ones not named Acuña.

It's actually such a leap by Bowman that the only plausible explanation for him reporting that (other than just making shit up) is that he's heard something off the record.

It doesn't help that the Braves (at least in my estimation) have a set of the dumbest players in baseball.

I don't believe there is a unified field theory regarding the nature of one-run games and the Braves have exhibited the combo platter in ending up on the wrong side of the score in these games. Iffy bullpen, toothpick bats, and mind-numbing decisions in the dugout have all contributed.

It was always inevitable that once the braves immense talent advantage slipped some, snit and low IQ players would turn past wins into losses. This team can't out talent teams anymore, and the run is over... well, unless we get capable people at GM and manager
 
Just think if AA had kept the cheap option of Contreras and not extended Harris and strider, there would be money to fix this team.
 
My biggest observation is that it doesn't appear Snitker is any longer the guy to get the most out of his players. Whether he was ever that guy is debatable. But as others have noted, there seems to be a real leadership issue, and nobody seems to be held accountable. That seems to have led to an environment of players coasting, no pressure, etc. I really could be way off but I have no other way to explain it.
