If you read the stuff on the probable pitchers, he started just a few days ago so this was always a possibility and it helped that he threw 39 pitches in the first.

Also, unfortunately Ozzie missed on his area even with an ugly high fastball swing. Maybe that needed to be a little more down for him, but that's an area he's done damage on before.

I think it’s just fckn incredible the strides this kid has made with his control from Single A to now...he used to literally walk a good 5-6 a game.
