I'm not starting Dallas on the road. I probably piggy back JT and Fried for 6-7 innings. Dallas/Folty for game 5 if it comes to that.

I’ve smoked a few the last two days.
I was on the fence before the season, but after his hot start in AAA, wanted him up as the 4th OFer, even before Riley. I also remember when people were ****ting on him after he went on a cold spell for a week or two like they didn't know Duvall wasn't 1.000 OPS hitter and had a career OBP under .300.
Yah that's a head scratcher. Maddux, Smoltz, and Glavine all agree that Avery had the best stuff on the staff. Man what could have been if he could've stayed healthy.

Maybe my memory of this play is flawed, but the inning is still over when Joyce gets tagged out in the run down isn’t it? Markakis didn’t exactly create the double play, right?

Ortega is ****ty enough to where I’m not sure it really matters if you use him correctly. Might as well see if Duvall can lean into one. Not like he’s going to get a chance vs lefty anyway.
I have no idea why you are carrying three catchers and billy Hamilton if you aren’t going to pinch run for McCann in that situation though.

Yea, 1-2 with a HR and K and surprisingly Snit knew that. Even Duvall didn't recall that homerun last year when asked in his post game. Probably because last year was so terrible for him, which had a lot to do with his health from what I heard (diabetes).

ortega makes more sense as a pinch runner there than hitter, he sucks hitting and i didn't want him on the roster but oh well.

Jokes never overstay their welcome here at Chop Country.
The proper move with Mac (or whatever catcher is starting) if he gets on base and you plan to pinch hit the pitcher, is to PR Hamilton and have Cervelli or Flowers pinch hit for the pitcher. I really can't see why Snit can't figure this out.
