I’ve been on the fence about Dansby but I think this is who he is. Just pay the dude.

Not really a high batting average or drawing a lot of walks. He has hit .250 or worse most seasons of his career. Never more than a 15 HR hitter suddenly with a power spike at ages 27 and 28. I worry a lot we will be paying for age 27/28 Dansby but get the .250 hitter with 15 HR power with finishing defensive ability when he is on the wrong side if 30.

At this point, I can't understand how there could any controversy about re-signing Dansby.

Provided it's good for both sides, yeah i think you gotta pay him now.

There's some cause for concern but there's not much of a legit replacement for him. And we're banking in money.
