GDT 10/1/24 - Braves @ Padres - AJSS for WC Game 1

Organizational failure. I really really question our decision making. It's shockingly bad. Let's just be clear. Chris Sale had no chance to start game one. So how the F did we start SS in game one of the double header? We all had no idea, but in doing so, they literally cemented game one as either this or at best Holmes.

Secondly as I said earlier - why can't we do a bullpen game? The second you play a 3-game series, season is on the line. We have an awesome pen. You are telling me we can't cover 9 innings with our pen today and pivot if things go south? It's moronic and I don't get it. Shocking decision making imo and it already cost us the game
 
This is the best option of all the AAAA fodder. It is imperative AA adds an actual MLB SP, even if it means Arcia plays SS one more season.
 
The Braves heads have to be fckn spinning with confusion at all of these quality ABs SD hitters are putting up.
 
If he can settle down and give us 6 innings, that'd be great. Offense isn't scoring so we don't have to worry about that part of things.
 
I'm just in disbelief. We live in the era of bullpens going 5-6 innings in so many postseason games. Why do we "need" to go with a starter? Lee opens and goes 2, heck push him three if needed. Then Bummer for 1-2. If game is close, you bridge it with some combo of Jackson, Johnson, etc. After going through them, if game is still close you go to our guns and chase the win. If game got away then you go to AJ / elder, etc. Why is that so hard to pull together?
 
AJ was able to settle down after that homer. Good sign. A lot of kids would have "Folted" under that sort of playoff pressure.

Y'all wanna know what combats that movement on the outside to RH? Not trying to pull the god damn ball.

Look, I’ve been told AJSS was working on things, and that’s why he was doing mediocre in AAA. It’s all good!!
