GDT 10/12/21: Braves vs Brewers - NLDS Game 4

I've spent 30 years watching Braves try to squeeze a win out of pitcher on short rest and it never goes well.

Maybe because playoff pitchers on short rest in playoffs perform like 4th or 5th starters on average?

If Morton had a short hook might have worked out fine though.

Every little bit it works out for some team and makes a legend for some team and everybody buys in. In a seven game series I could see using Morton if it were desperation but I would have rolled with Smyly.

Only reason I don’t mind it as much is that we have Fried on full rest for game 5 but I can see the argument either way.

Infield dribbled, a walk, HBP on 0-2 count that was ironically almost a strike on the pitch, a ground-out hit to softly and reasonably hard hit ball that gets through first base...2-runs. Can't complain with that inning
