GDT 10/12/21: Braves vs Brewers - NLDS Game 4

It would be a dream come true to knock off the Dodgers and then have most of the country rooting for us to beat the Astros and then do it.

In todays world most of the country would be rooting for the Astros. Remember, the Braves are racists who use an offensive chant at their games.

I have never seen Freddie that animated before during his homerun trot. Special moment

I'm a hopeless optimist but I think that hit and Freddie's effort push AA and Freeman to a quick resolution a week or so before free agency starts. The fans were out-of-their-minds.

Hopefully something gets done. This Braves team is really ****ing good and a reasonable contract for Freeman will keep this team competitive for the next few years.

Agreed. It's beginning to get attention but the core is elite and extremely young. They should have another three to five years left, even if Freddie begins to decline. I'd re-sign Freddie, re-sign at least two of the Trade Deadline acquisitions, add another bat via trade and keep the bullpen intact. Keep rolling, regardless of how these playoffs conclude.

Does he still talk **** about modern day baseball?

Surprisingly, not as much. It's like he was feeding off of Chip's idiocy.

We have a good radio crew. I kind of prefer Jim Powell to Ben Ingram, but Ben has grown on me.

Does anyone know why they scaled back Powell to the backup role and moved Ingram to primary PBP?

Yeah Ingram is the primary now. Jim has been doing some dugout reporting during the division clincher and the NLDS

Because Ben's great. At least I think so.

My preference would be to move either Ben or Jim to television and let Chip enter free agency. And while a certain amount of rotation in color and studio commentary is fine, Bally does it so much it's impossible to get into any kind of rhythm.
