GDT 10/12/23: Braves @ Phillies - NLDS Game 4 Striders Revenge

The only reason this wasn’t a sweep is Austin Riley. Travis helped in game 2, but 7 other guys have been useless.

We've just been out classed. Randomness - maybe? Meaningless? Sure we can talk about how playoffs are random and therefore meaningless.

But there is still some level of performance accountability. The team just performed really, really badly. Shockingly badly tbh. The "competitiveness" of their at bats vs. ours has actually just been shocking.

I'm not going to draw any conclusions. But the odds that we'd have four of our worst offensive games back to back to back to back is really low. Really disappointing effort all around

Normally, I'd agree with you 100% but after this master class in the Heimlich maneuver by our guys, it's impossible to be optimistic.

I agree... it's randomness to a point but we have not even been competitive. Same as last year.

I've already said FF going to dodgers cursed both teams. Never shoulda happened, and now the baseball gods will curse both teams with no playoff series wins till FF and Olson are both gone

Guys, the Phillies aren't better. 162 games proves more than 4. This is a hot team coming off a winning series vs a cold team that hasn't played in a week and is now pressing.

Until baseball incentivizes winning in the regular season more, the playoffs will remain a joke.
