One option is to not allow Anderson to hit at all, go right to Smyly, and force Roberts to unwind the platoons early.
 
I'm curious as to why some of you think Anderson isn't "even trying." What evidence is there of that? What is it you guys imagine is going on out there? Is every home run allowed a case of not trying? Isn't it slightly more likely that he was trying -- really, really hard, in fact -- and he just gave up a home run in spite of trying really, really hard?
