GDT 10/18/2020 - Game 7 vs Dodgers

Hey I've been as optimistic as anyone and I'm super optimistic about our chances today. My GDT will guide us to the WS. Just give it a chance.

The one nice thing I can say about this season win or lose tonight is that I have no regrets. This team has maximized its talent and overcome an injury to the one guy you can argue we really simply couldn't afford an injury to. We've gone up against the "team of the decade" and gone to 7 despite literally having a bullpen game and two rookies starting.

Ironically we can lose tonight and I'll arguably still be more upset about last year when I thought our team was largely just as good and our decisions off the field simply killed us. Still amazes me that we had the chance to start Soroka and Fried for 4 out of 5 games and we started them a combined 1 out of 5 games. Truly just a case of getting caught way way way over thinking it. This year the pitching decisions have really been spot on.
 
Stay warm, probably gonna post in niners thread but in an elimination game the hook can come quick. Should we win I'll give you my support for game 1 of the WS. We gotta get a rotation going to keep our best game thread starters fresh.



I dont know what the big deal about starting the game threads. I've spent almost 20 years posting going back to scout without making a gamethread.

I’ve honestly been around just as long. I used to just lurk and post on occasion because I’m not great at writing but starting GDTs have helped me find my own little way to be more active in the community.
