If they go Scherzer short rest, they'd have to go Buehler short rest. And then they'd go Urias again short rest game 7? They can't really avoid a bullpen IMO, and you probably don't want it to be Game 7 with theoretical limited effectiveness from your starters in the other games. Especially when Scherzer had velocity drop.
