The advent of playoff baseball has created additional opportunities for disappointment. The Red Sox had to win a pennant to go to postseason play so fewer opportunities especially with the decades of Yankee dominance in the 20th Century.

I've resigned myself to the fact that we are going to lose this series. This is the game we should have won, and we got our asses handed to us. Now Anderson vs Scherzer? Scherzer is going to rip us a new one. Which leaves us in game 7 vs Buehler.
