I can’t believe I got to see another WS in my lifetime.
22 years was a loooong wait.

Enjoy, 1999 I had 17 years old now I am 39 we don’t have a clue if this is the last one of our lifetime.
 
I have to admit I got myself so wound up with this series that I couldn't watch it live. I could only peek at the score when I thought it was over, and then did a little dance, broke open the good scotch, and watched the game I had recorded. F'ing loved every second of it, knowing we beat the Dodgers.

Despite many here projecting otherwise, I think Snit out-managed Roberts in this Series, at almost every turn. Especially tonight taking Anderson out when he did. Magic, baby!

I’m 1999 I remembered all 4 well. I was 19. I thought the next one wouldn’t be long. There were a few times in the early 2000s when we probably should have made it. We had a good chance last year We might not see another or it could happen again next year You really never know This window has a chance to be open for a while but you don’t know what we’ll do with it.
 
Thought I was going to have to wait till next year to see the World Series.

I for one have no problem with announcers or national media saying the Dodgers were the better team. They were. They're better on paper and won way more games during the regular season.

However, the Braves played better this series. That's what matters. Lord knows I've seen enough 100 won Braves teams eliminated by inferior opponents.

This is probably the most talented Dodgers team, they've had. They have a LOT of FA's so it'll be interesting who they try to bring back. Seager, Jansen, Kersh, Scherzer, Taylor, Knebel the main ones. Joe Kelly has a club option of 12 mil, 4 mil buyout. Dodgers were missing Kersh, May, Muncy, Turner, among some others but Braves were w/o Soroka, Ozuna, Acuna, Soler (for this series).

Dodgers were probably the better team. But Snit out-managed Roberts by a LOT. Who would have thought that coming into this series?

Yup. **** happens. After the 98 Braves lost in the NLCS I really have no sympathy for any other super team that doesn't make it to the World Series. You think this Dodgers team was great?

They got 29.5 fWAR out of their lineup and 26.9 fWAR out of their pitching staff. The 98 Braves had 37.6 and 27 respectively. That Braves team had 6(!) players with 4.8 fWAR or higher.
