GDT 10/23/21 NLCS Game 6 Dodgers @ Braves: It’s Time

I think we'll bring in a vet SP but probably not for the money Scherzer's gonna be looking for.

It was for Max, because of what happened to Bauer. But Turner is their Seager replacement.

Turner had quite a bit more trade value than Max and the bulk of what they sent to Washington was for him. Despite the needs that LA had at the time.

I'm still surprised it didnt cost LA more than it did. It was basically just Ruiz and Gray. Thought they should have sent more to Washington.

That's because neither had a ton of trade value. Also, some teams seemed to be hesitant on adding more payroll due to revenue issues from covid. Could have driven down the price tag some.

Just watched Matzeks inning again. That may be the most impressive BP inning I’ve ever seen.

Rosario rightfully deserves NLCS MVP, but if there was a runner up. It should go to Matzek, he was absolute freaking nails. He honestly could have came in for a THIRD inning, he wasnt even at 20 pitches after 2 innings.

Were would this team be without him the last two seasons?
I’d say right this min he’s the most dominant reliever in the game

Saw a stat last night that Matzek now has 11 K's with RISP this post season. That's tied for the most ever with John Rocker from 99.

I completely forgot about that. Embarrassing.

I remember the 99 WS being billed as the battle for the team of the 90s. So anti-climatic.

I forgot it too, but was reminded in that show. I think we blocked it out as a coping mechanism
