GDT 10/26/21: Braves @ Astros - World Series Game 1

Strange to get to the WS and roll out a new lineup, but whatever...I'm here for it. We're in the WORLD SERIES!

I get why Soler is probably the right guy to be batting leadoff, but man I loved seeing Rosario up there.
 
I like that Rosario is in a really strong RBI spot. He's been clicking on all cylinders so it can't hurt to let him rake with more runners on base.
 
I posted in the other thread, but the only reason I can see moving up d'Arnaud to 7th is that Snitker is hoping Pederson and/or Swanson get on to turn the lineup over to the top of the line up.

Also, with the leftie starting, i'm okay with Soler leading off. Rosario was hitting everyone, so i'm okay with him being in an RBI spot
 
I do love watching Soler work a pitcher out of that leadoff spot. Makes up for later in the inning when Ozzie swings at anything that even resembles a pitch.

Yeah. This lineup change is dictated by the DH, and not having the pitcher bat. The 7 spot is less likely to come up with runners on than the lead-off spot with the DH in play.
 
Maybe TDA is batting 7th because Snit thinks his thumbless flyouts to left will be HRs in Houston.
 
They used to announce the entire teams. Now it’s just the starting lineups? Lame.

Also lame that there is no World Series sleeve patch.
