Agreed. He looked high tonight. Still not impressed with this team. We got BaBiP to death with **** defense. Just glad we get the three games in truist now that we lost.

Yeah, i dont know if we can win again in Houston. Gonna have to take care of business at home, gonna be very difficult w/o Charlie in one of those.

I definitely think we can win on the road but the Braves need to grab two of three at home, at least. Charlie's injury is definitely the biggest key here but they should be fine as long as the offense shows up.

I'm not too upset about the loss - it sucks but I agree with everyone else that splitting the road games is an overall win.
The frustrating thing is Max Fried was much better than his numbers showed. The Astros hit a ton of squibbers that got through for hits in their big four-run inning. Max did a good job keeping the ball on the ground and the defense didn't make plays and/or the shift just didn't work out for the one inning. On the other side, the offense hit laser beams all over the place and the Astros defense got to it. It probably should have been a 4-3, 3-2 kind of game. Mainly bad luck.
Oh, and the game-changer was the completely fake 3-2 ring-up of Freddie in the first. He gets on with back-to-back hits from Albies and Riley and I think we're feeling good today. Completely changed everything.

Yeah, at worst need 2/3 at home, ideally win all 3 but that seems unlikely. Go back to Houston up 3-2 with Fried and Anderson.

I think we are fine. I didn't like our approach at the plate last night but maybe the ump calling everything early made the guys more aggressive.
That extreme shift with 2 strikes in the second completely changed the game. I just don't get it. most hitters shorten up with 2 strikes and are more prone to guide balls. It needs to be a modified shift where Ozzie is at least on the first base side of second base.. he can still be up the middle a bit. But if he is there, that is an easy double play and game is 1-1 still.
