GDT 10/29/21: Braves vs Astros - World Series Game 3

If the Braves win this all, I don't know what to think. I liked our odds until we lost Morton, now I'm just hoping this team that's being held together by Duct Tape makes it to the finish line ahead of the Trashtros. If they do, the Braves will have beaten the team with the highest payroll in baseball, 4th highest payroll, and beat the team with the 3rd highest payroll for the division title. All without Acuna and Ozuna.

Come on boys, just 2 more wins.

And soroka never threw a pitch this season

Two funny Brave narratives the last ten years:

-Moving to Cobb County will be a massive mistake that will end up being a failure

-The rebuild was a failure and the old guard screwed the Braves

Whatever happens in the next 2-4 games aside we can conclusively say that those narratives were hilariously wrong.

Moving to Cobb was a phenomenal move for the Braves and it'll probably be a long term win for Cobb as well. The Battery is an awesome development that has crazy potential.

I shook my head at Atlanta going cheap at the time. They should have been trying to create a mixed use development around the Ted for years. Instead they went cheap. No foresight.

I'm gonna claim TDA's offensive success as his thumb is finally getting back fully healthy. Don't dispute this... I wanna dream he's a .750 ops catcher next season

I’m dying to visit the battery.

Debating moving to the Marietta area as well the next few years.

Best thing that could have happened to the braves was Atlanta cheating out. Absolutely no way the franchise would have the same revenue generation capabilities.

The area around the Ted was really rough and worn down. Being able to build from scratch and do exactly what they wanted was a home run for the Braves.

TDA is a great catcher and maybe feeling better for the first time all year.

Just another great move out of a basket of great moves AA has made.

Fantastic time to be a braves fan.

It was really run down and barren around the Ted. However that could have played in Atlanta's favor as it would have been easier to develop. A massive, new mixed use development like Atlantic Station would have transformed that area. Instead Atlanta called the Braves bluff.

Stupid time to talk about next year but if Soroka can find a way to avoid non-arm injuries the Braves could have a 100+ win team.

They’ve brought in a ton of revenue so I expect to see AA really beef the team up even more in the offseason.

Yeah the P&L and accumulated earnings all look fantastic.

Forecasts are probably being revised as we speak due to an increase in assumed revenues.

Agreed, i'm curious as to the total revenue the Braves will earn in this playoff run. Everytime i've been to the Battery during the playoffs, the team store has a massive line of people trying to get in.

This year (no matter what happens)…is the craziest crap I’ve ever seen as a Braves fan. To think of all those incredible teams through the years that could not bring it home. This one might just have “it” those other didn’t.

I would have sold at the deadline. Obviously I’m an idiot. If you have any chance, you take it every time. You never know what might happen….well…I do now.

AA played it right. Odds were low so he didn’t give up much future value.

If the odds are high to make playoffs and you have a great team then giving up future value makes a ton of sense.

I am sympathetic to rules aimed at reducing the shift I guess, but had no idea that writers were so deranged about starting pitchers getting yanked early.

Rosenthal is basically in tears and suggests eventually getting to 11 man pitching staffs?
