AA played it right. Odds were low so he didn’t give up much future value.
If the odds are high to make playoffs and you have a great team then giving up future value makes a ton of sense.
I really do think folks get too excited about tear downs these days. They are a little bit fun but they're last resorts.
It's fun to play amateur GM, but if you're in the race you are in the race and the Braves were in the race.
The two points of baseball are to win and to sell tickets and neither would have been served by raising the white flag to land a flyer prospect or two.
