GDT 10/8 NLDS Game 3: Get the brooms ready

Well... Kyle Wright was OK for the first few innings, but once we busted the game open the Marlins were too impatient to let him pitch himself into a mess.

It's progress. I'm envisioning 4 walks against the super patient Dodgers.

He had two walks today, but pitched in and out of trouble. It helped when you consider the opponent, but some of it was him buckling down and making quality pitches when it mattered most. I am not diminishing his start at all today, but definitely can expect him to not be as good against a much better Dodgers team. You bet your top dollar that he flirts with danger against LA they will make him pay.

The last couple times we've played LA in the playoffs.. they just were perfectly content to take balls until they could launch something. Kyle Wright won the game today and looked mostly pretty good, but his control is still an issue. I expect the Dodgers to make him prove that he can throw strikes.

I would like to take credit for this bullpen. I called AA out in the first half last year for not fixing the pen. He clearly heard me and has turned it into the best pen in the game. You're welcome.

Anderson to the pen would've basically made it Thanos.

Rotation suddenly looks good for years to come with Soroka, Fried, Anderson and Wright.

Wright should have been taken out in the 1st inning according to my little step brother’s New York Yankee branded Magic 8 ball. Trust me, I played badminton in College (aka athlete)
