GDT 10/9/21: Braves @ Brewers - NLDS Game 2

Snit should already be planning the BP usage.

Fried should almost certainly be allowed to face through Wong a 3rd time due to the platoon advantage and low pitch count.

If he is allowed to go further, it must be done with the intent of letting him face Yelich.

You really think snit is thinking about any pitching change in a scoreless game?

Definitely a good top 3. I'd like another experienced arm in the rotation, but not another Smyly or Hamels. And with the amount of holes this offseason, I doubt that would be a top of the list item for AA.

I could see another arm added but not at the money Hamels/Smyly got. Other than FF/big bopper, main holes are probably pen/outfield/bench.

Fried leading off the 5th means he should be able to get though the 6th without batting again. If he does bat again before then the Braves have probably extended the lead and can afford to punt his PA.

Really encouraging to see MOrton and Fried come out like they have so far.

Makes you start to think a bit irrationally about our chances.

Fried made it through the 2-4 portion of the lineup with heaters in to those RHH. The plan the 3rd time is probably to bring out the change. It was good to see him execute a good one to Cain.
