GDT: 11/3/20, Election Day, Donald J. Trump vs. Joseph R. Biden

Trump needs to give a speech saying he's dropping all further challenges and while he believes there was fraud, it is in the best interest of the country for him to not fight it any further.

He then needs to go start his cable news network where he gets to constantly make appearances and talk about how the election was stolen and describe however it is he things the Democrats did it. He also can give hints about running again and play kingmaker if he decides against it.

That would be the smart play for Trump.

Lol hell even McConnell is holding a photo op today at 4pm with the newly elected GOP Senators.

Trump is the master of smart plays for himself. And I never said he'd put anything ahead of himself. I said the smart play would be to SAY he was putting the country ahead of himself and then go make a bunch of money.

The thing that's preventing Trump from stopping the fight and going and making a bunch of money is his ego prevents him from ever admitting anyone beat him at anything.

I heard a ton of Biden supporters talking about how Trump was going to pull a coup or otherwise try to steal the election. This rhetoric was not limited to Trump supporters. If Trump had pulled off a win, do you think Biden supporters would just throw up their hands and say "Golly, we sure got beat!"? No. They'd take to the streets and call Trump's election illegitimate.

Politics is accusing the other side of playing the same dirty tricks your side plays just better.

The issue is not so much the supporters (whose behavior will vary quite a bit) as the principals. What very poorly chosen one is doing to undermine the credibility of the elections is not something that can easily be excused as "all politicians do it."

I'm sure youre aware that Dems publicly said they would not be conceding under any circumstances should Trump have been declared the winner

This is one of the reasons I don't like Trump and that he didn't get my vote. I'm just sitting over here watching normal, otherwise rational people froth at the mouth over politics.
