It will be interesting to see if/when the millions of Americans duped by Trump about a stolen election will ever be able to admit to themselves they were scammed by a con artist. Fraudsters work their magic on people suffering from an information gap....like email scams on elderly people who barely know how to operate a PC. They also prey on folks' insecurities by acting like they are "just like me"...Trump was constantly the victim just like rural white America considers themselves the victim.
Will all these Trumpkins ever be willing to admit they were victims of fraud? After being called stupid by everyone they hate for the last 5 years, does anyone really think they will ever admit to actually being stupid? Does the guy who spent too much on a worthless truck ever admit his new truck isn't amazing?
My guess is no. There will be 50 million Americans unable to come to terms with the fact the election wasn't stolen, and no facts, investigations or comments by anyone will change their view...and thus force them to admit they are stupid. It's the same with any conspiracy story...flat earthers, birthers, moon landing hoaxers, anti-vaxxers, 911 inside jobbers, covidiots, etc.
So what does that leave us as a plan moving forward? Meet them in the middle and begin instituting "election reforms". This is the same concept as letting them build their stupid wall, and giving my 4 year old monster spray when he thinks there is a monster under the bed. These solutions cost (comparatively) nothing, and placate the people unwilling to be governed by facts and reason.
Let them build a pointless wall. Work with them on making voting more secure...surely purging voter roles of dead people more often isn't expensive. Just like it's pointless to argue with a scared 4 year old with reason, it's pointless to debate with angry cult members. Give them monster spray and move on. Stop calling them stupid and start using their stupidity against them.

Not all Trump supporters think the election was stolen. There are quite a few who are perfectly intelligent adults who simply think his nastiness and ineptitude is acceptable if it gets them what they want. Those people are the worst type of Trumpkin.
