There were some very good centrist Congressmen/women elected in 2018. Its a shame the party's drift to the left cost many of them their seats. I think Spanberger and some of the others (even some of the ones who lost this year) have very bright futures. Some people will get mad at her for saying what she said in that audio, but I hope the party listens.

There seems to be a pattern. Centerists elected to push a party into control, party drifts to their extreme wings, centerists tossed out.

But I'm told they really haven't drifted left enough...

Democrat party has no future without their radical left base.

They do all of the organizing for the party.

The amount of house seats flipping is an indication of what type of election this was.

When all the shenanigan's are investigated and cleaned up it will end up being a landslide election.

Did you listen to the audio? The description isnt wrong I just disagree a bit. Their strategy was bad. Where I disagree is that with Biden as President the Republicans wont be able to fearmonger so much about hypotheticals like "socialism" and "defund the police" because Biden will actively be President and not doing either of those things. And thats really the best defense. They should absolutely stop using the word socialism and Democratic Socialism. Trump might be around for the midterms but his goose is cooked come 2024. Convicted felons cant run for President. I think classifying this as a failure is a little harsh. They held on to the majority in the house. Republicans arent going to cry about what they did wrong if they hold onto the Senate and they had a sizable advantage there too. Democrats got record turnout. That should be viewed as a success. Republicans did a great job too and thats all Trumps doing. Theres nothing Democrats could have done that wouldnt have resulted in Trump ****ting all over them like he did and getting out the vote for himself. Thats a function of his great marketing of himself as economic Jesus. Trump knows the value of using every public statement as a chance to attack and manipulate.

Looked it up. 15$ an hour mimum wage passed 60.8% 6.3 million votes to 39.2% 4.11 million votes. Biden lost Florida by 400k votes. If I can put my thethe hat on for a second...... this is clearly a vote discrepancy that shows Biden should have got more votes. How could so many people vote for socialism and then Trump. Makes no sense.

So I guess this is why Russia just introduced legislation that prevent prosecution of former Presidents. Thats clearly to protect Putin once he leaves office but I still didnt think it would be that soon.
