In fact, he might have had the most successful presidency in terms of middle east peace in recent memory with the deals brokered between Israel and various Arab states.

His did pander to far right extremists and his immigration policy has been pretty far right. Economically he's varies. The tariff stuff doesn't really jive with debt spending.

Trump has far right tendencies but he's not as far right as someone like Ted Cruz.

Are the peace deals really that big of deal considering none of the countries were ever at war with each other in the first place?

Yes, they absolutely are. Seeing Arab countries breaking ranks to normalize relations with Israel is huge. It starts with the less belligerent countries but as trade and travel increase, others will feel pressure to join in. The start of normalization with Arab neighbors is major.
 
If I can put my analyst hat on, if Trump had handled COVID 19 from a PR standpoint with the resolute of Reagan, the calmness of Clinton, the grace of W, or the empathy of Obama he wins in a landslide. Let that sink in!!! He chose to flat out lie and then was stupid enough to go on record about it. Not real hard to see why he is going to lose.

He'll try because he's going nuts, but I doubt the party gives him much support. The distancing has already started. No one likes a loser.

i sorta said this yesterday. if he weren't so painfully terrible at handling it, didn't lie and downplay it repeatedly, took it the least bit seriously, he would have cruised IMO

he went from attacking trump like the "rabid left" with "trump derangement syndrome" to kissing his ass so much he started naming the stretch marks on it. there's a reason outside of trump being the republican leader.
