My initial reaction is, this is an odd set up on a round table with the wives sitting across from you rather than sitting next to you.

to the extent these "news organizations" damaged the country (and its citizens) by airing untrue conspiracy theories about the elections, i'm thinking maybe i should sue them for damages
 
I love it. Hope they get sued so bad they have go bankrupt.

When Sturg rails on the media, I hope he also includes these guys.

What Fox, OAN, and Newsmax has done to our country is unforgivable. Their audience are a bunch of cult idiots who eat up all the conspiracy crap, and then run around spouting it like it’s gospel.

I mean the others do it too.

But I don't consider AON or Newsmax to be legit information sources whatsoever. So its almost like validating them to acknowledge or post something from there... At least my opinion.

Since the election, Newsmax's ratings have been increasing because MAGALand (a sizable portion of the country) moved over to them since Fox News projected Arizona for Biden.

Too many people on that side of the aisle have already validated Newsmax much like they have for Fox News' Primetime shows for years.

My only exposure from these sources comes from folks from this board.

you misunderstand his schtick...his game is to lump the NY Times, WaPo and all the reputable outfits into the same bin as Fox, OAN, Newsmax and RT...he's happy to stipulate that Newsmax sucks

as a corollary to the above...if all sources of information are equally suspect we have all this freedom...to believe the facts to be what we want them to be...so the fb moniker is apt indeed

The problem is that those are the regular sources for Trump’s hardcore loyal base. So outright lies from them can be extremely dangerous if put under the right circumstances.

i have a friend who is a shrink and most of his practice these days consists of patients in the grips of various conspiracy theories...it is literally an epidemic and i suspect will be with us for much longer than covid

In coming weeks and months I wouldn't be surprised to see various religious leaders who were once quite enthusiastic about very poorly chosen one start to put some distance between themselves and him.
