He's asked both Kemp and Raffensperger to reverse the election results. I'm pretty sure that would necessarily entail illegal activity.

When a don asks a capo to make a problem go away, he doesn't usually tell him which law to obey and which one to break.

Y'all going all precious on me.

I'd imagine a coup would be illegal so maybe its time to stop feeding the hysteria?

Literally every topic is a slippery slope with you

Except everything to do with this and trump

It’s baffling how we need to worry about all slopes but with these it’s a “well, has he pulled the coup off yet? No? Quit freaking out” lol

what's the legal theory that would allow Georgia to change the election results

Raffensperger seems to imply there is a way:

"We've never found systemic fraud -- not enough to overturn the election. We have over 250 cases right now ... but right now we don't see anything that would overturn, you know, the will of the people here in Georgia," Raffensperger, a Republican, told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos during an interview on "This Week."

Maybe he meant this?

This past week, the president also began calling for a special session of the state legislature. The Washington Post reported Saturday that Trump called Gov. Brian Kemp that morning to urge him to do this and to try to convince members of the legislature to override the will of Georgia voters and appoint new electors who would support Trump over Biden. A spokesman for Kemp confirmed a call took place, but would not confirm this was a topic of conversation.

Kemp has already certified the state's electors for Biden and transmitted that certification to the National Archives, but he will have to do it again once the secretary's office re-certifies the election based on the results of the recount.

The only way to call a special session in Georgia is by the governor calling for it or by three-fifths of the both chambers of the General Assembly agreeing to call one. In mid-November, the governor, in a statement co-signed by the speaker of the state House and the lieutenant governor, indicated this wouldn't happen.

Mask mandate = slippery slope to taking my rights away and the installment of communism.

POTUS discussing ways to overturn an election that he losts and has even discussed martial law = Perfectly fine according to sturg.

none of this offers a legal basis for overturning the election results...i don't think there is one...very poorly chosen one is asking Kemp and Raffensperger to do something illegal

he's also pressured various officials in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona to also engage in illegal activity in order to secure the election outcome he wants...

he tried to call Ducey at the very moment he was certifying the results in Arizona

if we want to get precious about it calling Ducey is not illegal...but the ask he was making of Ducey certainly was

If he took illegal actions regarding the election then I support the incoming attorney general's investigation and charges. And if we find out that he tried to get the military to seize control of the government on his behalf then I'll agree that he attempted a coup. Either way I'll remain pleased with his win over Hillary and dread more skilled connivers regaining control over the levers of power.

The Trump Hotel in Washington DC has conceded the election.

They’ve unblocked all the rooms they had reserved for Inauguration Week,

and have made them available to anyone, at a 25% discount.
