Did he think it would bring more GOP lawmakers to his side? Did he hope for a violent confrontation allowing him to enact martial law? Such an oddly interesting event and still so many questions.


It's also more evidence that he is nothing more than a Hitler or Mussolini or Putin-wannabe. This was right out of the dictator playbook. But funny thing, Americans, even sycophantic GOP Senators, don't like to be bullied.

Why did yesterday, or any other event orchestrated by Trump, need to be justified or compared to something else? The problem is that most of the people at the Capitol yesterday also know they are correct. They are as sure as you are. And the people in the BLM protests know they are correct. And an honest person with a couple of hours on Google can prove them both wrong.

That's why trivializing and making excuses for violence, destruction, and anarchy, as was done All. Summer. Long. is dangerous. It can't happen. Even when you or I or they or the guys on CNN believe the cause is just, or understandable, or politically convenient, or gosh darn it, the other way wasn't getting them anywhere. Because someone always believes that. The rule of law is all that separates us from anarchy. The left third or so of the country either forgot or ignored that this past summer. It turns out some people noticed.

Yep. And molotovs. And those people are terrorists. But the majority fit the media's narrative of mostly peaceful protesters. Except that they're on the other side of the political spectrum from the media.

I think my favorite thing will be the sentences these people get can be harsh cause trump wanted to protect loser statues of the confederates
 
Now we know why T was so interested in putting some of his guys in at the Pentagon. They've been planning this for a while.
