It's a lie because these were all peaceful protesters, or that's what brilliant minds like fat sturg tell us over and over.

Then you see videos of white protesters literally attempting to wrestle batons away from cops without any retaliation...when we all know a BLM protester would have been shot 32 times by 8 cops if he touched an officer's baton.

But yeah, definitely no white priviledge to be seen here! Move along to the next page where Tucker is painting Trump supporters as the victims of future left wing vengence.

Well my sense of esthetics is offended. I know you don't give a **** about that.

But seriously. One of the grievances of this group of people is they feel disrespected. Yet their behavior in many ways seems to reflect a desire to offend polite society. What gives.

I'm somewhat joking, but there would be something akin to middle school justice about upset citizens crapping on Congress after all the crapping Congress has done on us.

I do experience some cognitive dissonance when thinking about trump voters.

On the one hand they say enough with the bull****.

On the other hand they hitch their wagon to the biggest bull****ter of them all.

On the one hand they say they are disrespected.

On the other hand they go out of their way to behave boorishly.

I guess it's my problem that I don't get it.

We all do a bit of that here. Hold up some ridiculous specimen of the other side. But it seems to me there this large group of people who complain they are disrespected but go out of their way to act in a deplorable (that word!) manner.

Should we worry about them. It seems much of their life revolves around saying **** you to the rest of us. That can't be a healthy thing. And very poorly chosen one was one of their vehicles for saying **** you. You like him for policy reasons. But this group could care less about policy.

Incidentally this entire mess has had me looking at minor political parties. I think I've found an almost perfect fit. I'm planning a thread about it, I think it's something that can lower the tension and is a fun exercise.

I think there is a disdain from people on the left towards people on the right. You can read these very boards to see posters say **** you to multiple posters. I may miss it but it sure seems to only go one direction with that level of vitriol.

I dare say we should not be surprised when the other side develops a similar disdain back.
 
I was very interested in new parties 10 years ago. But I've concluded in our system it's a bit of a pipe dream to try to grow one to the point it can make a difference.

A couple of my friends do were discussing unexpected but great party alliance tickets.

Tulsi was a frequent person involved.

Justin Amash from the right.

I'd love to see them team up. The media of course would ignore them (or worse)... but I think they would have a lot of appeal to multiple ideologies

The only true bipartisan issue is to keep third parties down at all costs. We need ranked choice voting to accurately reflect the will of the people. We should be able to vote for who we want not against Literal Hitler which both sides accuse the other of being in every major race.

Folks like you don’t understand Trumpkins because you are able to process logical thought and draw rational conclusions. There’s a reason the largest Trumpkin demo is “white male no college”, and that reason is they are stupid and have almost zero world experience beyond the county they were born. Every person with any shred of talent flees red areas as soon as possible for a broader world, leaving behind the dregs that become trumpkins.

In the mind of a Trumpkin, scientists, scholars and doctors are all lying to them even though they derive almost zero benefit from those lies. In their minds, the only person telling the truth is a reality TV star who would benefit greatly from lying.

So why do they allow themselves to be conned? The answer is he says what they want to hear: white people are being repressed, the marginalized members of society are going to enslave you if you let them, be afraid and I’m the only one who can save you.

It is literally a cult.
