Agreed again, to suggest he doesn't care is asinine. I don't think he likes getting embarrassed on a nightly basis.

He cashed in. It's not uncommon for players in any sport to hit their big payday and then crap the bed.

Softens the blow a lot I would imagine.
I'm not going to sit here and say BJ doesn't care. He cares, he is just sucking miserably to where it looks like he just doesn't care.
Can't judge a player just because he doesn't slam his bat or helmet on the ground after K'ing. You can see when he k's the long look of disappointment he has when walking to the dugout. You'll never catch me boo'ing a player like some of our fans do at Turner. The only exception I'd make is Dan Kolb and Bob Wickman. While Reitsma would blow wins away, I never boo'd him.

Saying he doesn't care is just plain stupid. Just because he completely sucks right now doesn't mean he doesn't care. Does Uggla not care?
BJ's brother is playing right next to him. No way he's mailing it in. These guys don't become professional athletes so they can just mail it in when they get paid.
BJ is legitimately struggling right now, and it sucks that fans have to boo him after every at-bat. Who cares if he makes a lot of money? He didn't earn it striking out 60% of the time and hitting 5 homers a year. Cheer him on and try and get him started, instead of boo'ing him and asking for Schafer who's clearly the worser option.
