GDT #113 8/5: Braves (Wood) at Mariners (F. Hernandez)

Now I sort of know what it felt like when teams had to face Glavine-Maddux-Smoltz in the same series.

We've had to face Greinke, Kershaw and King Felix in less than a week.
 
Man, just glanced at the numbers for FF, and there's still time to rebound .....but from how he started I'd think even he would say it's been a bit disappointing
 
After three weeks, a lot of us, myself included, considered him a strong MVP candidate.

Left ankle sprain for Simmons. Perfect. Hope he doesn't miss much.
 
Also, if you had told me at the beginning of the season that on Aug. 5, the Mariners, Orioles, Blue Jays, Royals and Brewers would all have better or equal records than the Braves, I would have laughed.
