I wonder when someone will let the Braves players know that sliding into first is slower then running through the bag. We've seen them slide into first several times this year.

I doubt much telling goes on around this team.

Should the team blow up in the offseason? Fire Fredi or Frank Wren? Try to trade Justin Upton for younger, controllable multiple pieces? Try to extend Heyward (if he finishes hot) or try to trade him for younger pitching pieces/outfield pieces if he doesn't re-sign if offered?

I'm not giving up on this season, but it looks like this current type of team won't ever win a World Series.

I think Fredi should definitely go. Not sure about Wren. He really hurt the team with Uggla and BJ.

I knew this trip would be rough before they left but I didn't in my wildest dreams think they would lose all 8 games. This doesn't happen with any kind of veteran leadership, because McCann, Chipper or Hudson would have been reaming this team a new one. Lots of this team's problems stem from lack of leadership. This team should be pissed off and embarrassed, instead they will come up with some kind of excuse after the game. Makes me want to throw up.

So how bad does it have to get for Fredi to get fired? A historic collapse and stupidity in the playoffs twice didn't do it. Will this team collapse bad enough that it happens? I didn't think they would before but now I'm starting to wonder if they will.

Keep in mind, it's pretty much on Wren and co. for letting all the veteran leadership go. He also let them all go very fast and only in a few years. No excuse for not at least keeping Huddy around, IMO. I can't blame him on Chipper retiring and it made sense to let Mac go given his decline and contract demands. But he should've brought in some replacements, and probably shouldn't have let team favorite Reed Johnson go either.
