What would you guys need to see to justify giving Gattis a 5 year deal past this year? THat would bring him to age 33 I believe.

I don't see the need, unless it was incredibly team friendly. They have the money to go year to year with him - less risky that way too. JMO.

Given he arrived in the majors at a late age, we are best off taking him through arbitration year by year.

He also doesn't start arbitration till 2016 so we have time to wait and see a bit too.

Ownership is too cheap to hire a janitor. So when Gattis rests he isn't resting.

The surgery he had this off-season was for a bone chip that he says has been bothering him since he hurt his knee in college six years ago.

#Braves have traded INF Tyler Greene to the Padres in exchange for a player to be named later. Greene was with AAA Gwinnett.

I didn't see why we re-signed him in the first place. Bad baserunner and poor defender whereever you put him. Plus he cannot hit much so makes sense to trade or release him.
