GDT #19 4/21/14: Marlins (Koehler) @ Braves (Teheran), 7:10

So I wasn't watching the Heyward bunt.....was that confirmed to be a call from the dugout or was he bunting on his own?

Yours was, yes. Sadly, that cannot be said for others. Any fan forum will have it, yes; however, the incessant ones that repeatedly do it non-stop usually are dealt with. It hasn't happened, and that has ruined the experience for me. Braves games aren't fun for me anymore while being on this forum because of it.

I continue to advocate the Yugoslavian solution. And I'm not kidding. A whiny rude game thread. And a civilized one. Both can have disagreement and second-guessing, but there are differences in tone that make a big difference.

What the hell is your problem with Fredi tonight, he did not make any questionable decisions tonight. The Fredi bashing on here is really getting to be annoying.

I guess it was the Heyward bunt call, but it's really hard to grump about that too much. It's understandable why he called the bunt there.

I hear you. I personally feel this place's value outweighs the annoying parts so it's something I deal with (and that's not to say I don't play my part). But, I agree that people in this thread take disagreements about the team too far at times, myself included.

Had to rewind that and indeed he said Eureka. Someone cue up the Chip cocaine pic please.

Edit: Julio got it covered. Thanks boss.

Shame we traded JJ Hoover.

If you're going to leave us at least do it on a night we loss. :cooter:

We agree here Heyward, he seems to be very negative IMO too.

I am pretty positive towards everyone on the team minus a few players. Those few players get me riled up. Pretty sure I was defending Craig tonight when 90% of the board was declaring him done. Maybe you should focus on the posters bashing actual good players than worry about a poster being negative towards players who arent good.

It's fredi's fault ck blew the save and gattis had catcher interference.

I don't see how hyperbole on your end proves anything. No one said that. CK wasn't on tonight, that's a separate issue. I think it's easy to see why bunting with Heyward, your lead-off hitter, was a questionable call. I see the other side, but I totally disagree. Like completely.

I wonder how many homeruns Gattis could hit in the AL at DH.

You know a few (more than a few) AL teams are thinking that.

I love Gattis (obviously) but you have you wonder just how much an AL team would give us for him.

I don't think anyone said he was "done." I said he was sitting 1-3 MPH lower (instead of 97-98, 95-96 with most being 95) and he wasn't hitting his spots. I mean, that was a fact. I didn't think he was done or that it meant he was going to the DL.

The only issues I have with Fredi is:

- Uggla still being on the team
- Our two worst batters in the normal starting lineup hitting 1-2.

It's textbook old school baseball. No outs bunt to get runner over to third. Puts tremendous pressure on pitcher against BJ and Freddie. A wild pitch wins the game. A single wins.

If it was one out.

Fredi now says Heyward's call on the bunt. Left it up to him.

Then I'm really upset Heyward decided to bunt there. He should want that chance.
