GDT #20, 4/22/'14: Marlins (Fernandez) @ Braves (Wood), 7:10 EST

I'd have rather, in hindsight, not used $3.5MM for him and used it for another BP arm.

Agreed.

At the time of the trade I think we all envisioned Doumit actually receiving nominal playing time (which could still come, and he could still produce). A day catching here and there, some time in the OF. I just don't think he's a Daryle Ward type bat who can actually be a threat even when coming in cold off the bench.

Get use to it. Anytime a good strikeout pitcher goes against the Braves, it's going to be a long day. At least some teams can small ball some runs together, the Braves create enough gale force winds with the whiffs of their bats that the NOAA makes them a tropical depression.

Oh, i know, i dont like our lineup vs the top guys.

Pretty easy to pitch around.

Your original post was a little open ended there you butt plug..,add a "lol" or a "JK" when you post that on a forum when it's impossible to determine if you are being sarcastic Sammy and then proceed to insult the responses.

I guess you don't read my posts. I trash StrasTurd constantly. Everyone knows that I think he is overrated.

So now you know...

Board never fails to find a bench guy to blame it on. JUp, Gattis and Uggla go a combined 0-9 with nine K's and Doumit is a piece of crap. And Fredi's moves cost us.

Nobody is 'blaming' anybody. The team was cumulatively ****ty.

...the Braves create enough gale force winds with the whiffs of their bats that the NOAA makes them a tropical depression.

This is incorrect. In the waters that NOAA forecasts for, Gale Force winds begin at 34 knots (39mph) - this is the same wind speed that begins Tropical Storm classification (the step above Tropical Depression).

The part about swinging and missing, at least tonight, seems rather accurate.

Braves have scored 3 runs in Woods 3 loses. Bad bad baseball. Just unfair.

Totally. It seems like our starters are pitching that booties off and we can't capitalize on it. This is going to bite us in the rump at the end of the season.
