A month ago we expected this to be a wasted season and were glad to "see what we have" in the bullpen. I'm glad that the team as a whole has exceeded expectations so much that we're back to bashing the bullpen.
If it were young pitchers getting their feet wet and struggling, then sure. But when it's the old pitchers who are getting destroyed and costing us games like Freeman and Moylan, I'm not sure how you expect people to react.
Not going to get worked up over one game. Even the worst team in baseball will win 50-55 games. It happens. Just win the next three.
I think someone wanted to give him 4/10 or 4/20 or something lol
I think Freeman's going to be a really interesting guy to watch as an extension candidate along with Vizcaino this season.
Quick poll:
Sam Freeman is a BP arm who is already controlled through his age 33 season. Who thinks he is an extension candidate?
4 years for $8-$10 million
Let this comment sink in for a second...
Being able to non-tender a BP arm that’s already in his 30s that will make, at most, $5M-$6M in the next 2 seasons is about as flexible as a scenario can be.
Yet somehow, locking him in with a guaranteed 4 year deal provides the team with MORE flexibility?
Because all extensions are about adding years?
The funniest part was when he tried to double down on the stupid with...
Umm, yes, that's the point of an extension.
That's why the word is literally based on the word "extend", as in "extend team control".
LOL
LOL, yes. Let's recap another brain dead idea from the usual suspect...
