…I guess the broadcast wants us to see everything but the game.
Elder can be a good pitcher when he's hitting the bottom of the zone with his sinker. His issue is command and he's not good enough to consistantly do that over a full season. When the command is off he's gonna get rocked. Overall though he's good enough to be a #5 starter on the cheap.Elder had a 1.98 FIP and 2.98 xFIP with a .298 babip. Doesn't seem like luck to me.
That isn't how that works my guy.Elder had a 1.98 FIP and 2.98 xFIP with a .298 babip. Doesn't seem like luck to me.
if no injuries, then it might make more sense to move someone like Holmes/Lopez/Strider to the pen and just keep Elder in the rotation under the circumstances that he is an 80 pitch pitcher unless the Braves are up by 4+ runs.Elder is what he is and he's pretty good at it. He's a very solid 5 and that's super valuable to us especially with our injury concerns. The problem comes when Ritchie is ready which will be soon and Waldrep and SS2 comes back. I know there could be another injury but he'll have to move to the bp with no options left.
