I agree with Cy and some others. There's not really a big advantage for the teams who win their division. The WC winners can reset their rotation for the most part, maybe the guy they pitch in Game 2 doesnt go until Game 3. Based on how the scheduling is. But something has gotta change.

Nothing will legitimately change until we have a commissioner that doesn't actually dislike the game of baseball.
 
A new commissioner isn't going to change the playoffs except to add more because they always feel the need to grow revenue.

I would go even further. I would say they have to play a 3 game series in 2 days, then be ready for the next round immediately. The penalty for the WC teams should be their #3/#4 SP vs the top team's #1 with a tired BP.

Of course, if the Braves were the WC team I would be crying about how unfair it is. But I guess I'm the only one who has the self awareness to admit that.

The commissioner does what the owners want, and that will never change. He is their advocate, and nothing more.

Folks can probably stop whining about Manfred as if he isn't doing exactly what the owners want him to do...or he would have been fired already.

Yeah, this board is filled with level headed people who never let their Braves bias influence their take on any topic. I'm the one freaking out about umpires that hate the Braves, playoff systems designed to screw the Braves, and rules created to hinder the Braves.

Oh wait...no I'm not.

Now off you go, those uniforms have different lettering and you better go cry about it for 13 pages.
