Shift Leader
Per toscano, the braves have never started 0-5 and made the playoffs.
Neither had the Mets before last year.
Not that gives me any confidence though. This team is dog**** right now and it looks bleak.

2023 is really skewing people's projections on this team. They were great when they could stand at the plate and play homerun derby. But now that they are playing with wet balls, it struggles. There is zero speed and horrible baserunners littered all over the lineup. It clogs up the bases and makes the hits station to station. No one on the roster hits for a high enough average to be successful at that style of play and there are serious black holes at catcher/SS/LF (when all is healthy) that just kill any real chance of rallies.
unfortunately, AA painted himself into this corner and no matter what coaching changes he makes, it won't solve the inevitable closure of the Acuna window sooner than it should have.
AA has done great with drafts, but his preference to look for diamonds in the rough versus just paying proven players has completely backfired and is going to end his tenure as GM eventually. He will always have a legacy of letting a first ballot hall of famer, who wanted to resign, walk versus the gm who brought a championship to ATL.

It’s honestly hard to believe the start has been this bad - like, genuinely difficult to fathom. I still think they’ll rebound, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they hit rock bottom and stayed there. There’s no drive, no visible leadership. Nothing.

Instead of being good all year and ****ting the bed in October so this year we are doing it in reverse. 2021 team started 0-4.
