GDT 3/31 - TONIGHT EMMA DANCES

He's no Fredi, but that one sure was a questionable move to go along with the squeeze. Also not walking Franco.

Really not sure why he wouldn’t just double switch Markakis. Or even Flowers as his spot came up in the 8th in a key situation against a tough righty.

Snitker is not a great in game manager. I do think he's a very good manager of a team though. Keeping 25 egos working well is not easy and the most important part of a manager's job.

In terms of the pen, working backwards if we have the lead:

9th: Viz
8th: Venters
7th: Fried
6th: Carle

I assume Biddle and Parsons won't be used due to going multiple innings yesterday. Sobotka is probably available, but would choose a rested Carle over him. Obviously, you could bring Fried in earlier depending on matchups.

If we are behind but game is still competitive:

6th-7th: Fried and Carle, order depends on matchups
8th: now you go to the mopup guys (Jackson, Tomlin) if the game gets out of hand

Tie game:
6th-7th: Fried and Carle
8-10th: Venters, Sobotka, Viz

A little surprised Camargo isn't being given a game in the series. The point of having a good bench player is to use him.

He is an asset vs LHP.

The Braves haven’t faced a LHP. I expect Camargo to get plenty of PAs vs the Cubs.

True, he is better against LHP.

But he can help against RHP too.

Career OPS against RHP: Camargo .743, Swanson .681, Albies .716

It wouldn't be a bad thing to have him occasionally spell Swanson and Albies against RHP.
