GDT 3/31 - TONIGHT EMMA DANCES

Would that have been bad. Harper is a revenue machine. But to your point. No one is saying we should have dove into the deep end of the pool. Maybe just get out of the kiddie pool. Cutch was not a bad deal imo.

Yep. Cutch could have been had or alternatively Brantley.

Passing on each individual player can be defended. You could argue the contract was too long or the talent required in a trade was too much. The problem is that it's a worse result to have nothing at the end of the offseason than to overpay a little. We could very well be trading a year of a competitive window so that we didn't have to pay a few million more or give up that extra arm.

the roster is good and the team is going to compete. whine away.

Saying that the failures to add depth to the pitching staff and upgrade the OF is whining? It's not legitimate criticism that can be aimed at AA now that the offseason is over and we can look at the roster and see the problems?

At this point I won’t accept anything from the brass or FO unless it’s AA’s resignation or firing.

The owners are pocketing every cent of revenue that they can...period.

I'm talking about it because it's the biggest topic for the Braves right now and not just on this board. We're at the point now where we can look back at the offseason, look at the roster, and start making some conclusions about how the offseason went. We can apply those conclusions to our GM and, for the first time, start making some conclusions about him as well.

If you don't want to discuss the offseason and how AA is doing, I suggest you just skip over those comments. No one is making you engage in that debate. If there are other topics you wish to discuss, feel free to start the discussion. I'd welcome a diversion.
