GDT #31: 5/5/14 Cardinals vs Braves 7:10 PM

Lol. Come to think of it, Lord(I have one career season and get a big contract so now I can go back to below average numbers)BABIP, played that ball hit by holiday just like ole roge....

"come on Dorn get in front of the damn ball, don't give me that olé bull****."

I've just noticed it is ESPN, wow, they are getting on our homerism.

I don't watch much tv so I have just basic stuff, no ESPN.

Isn't it neat watching a team going the other way, taking the base hit and beating the shift, just trying to make contact?

FIRE GREG WALKER.

For the "just a slump" crowd, were the first 24 games pure luck? Is the last 6 games a true representation of our ability?

Somewhere in the middle. They aren't as good as they were playing, but they aren't as bad as they have been the last week. I'd lean closer to the bad Braves though. 79-86 wins.

From Sept. 28, 2011, "Walker Stepping Down as White Sox Hitting Coach"

Walker has come under plenty of fire this year with the White Sox ranking 11th among AL teams in scoring while Adam Dunn and Alex Rios have historically inept seasons, and he reportedly had a “heated exchange” with general manager Ken Williams three weeks ago.

From a White Sox blog, July 29th, 2011:

Would someone please have enough guts to ****ing fire Greg Walker? PLEASE! I am sick & tired of watching all stars come to the Sox and go into these prolonged slumps. FIRE HIM!

The more things change ...
